Check for RAM Error in Windows 7 and Vista with Windows Memory Diagnostic
Memory or RAM is one of the most important electronic hardware component on a computer systems, not only in term of speed or clock frequency and size, but also the reliability of hardware ecosystem of the RAM sticks or memory modules and its subsystem. For RAM to operate optimally, reliably and stably, there shouldn’t by any physical error or defect problem or issue on the memory chip, or else data processed may corrupt, programs may crash, or computer may hang, freeze, reboot or restart unexpectedly, unpredictably, and erroneously.

As far as the great majority of users are concerned, Windows Vista was the greatest flop in Microsoft history and few points of view dare to contradict this. Proof is the sleuth of computer enthusiasts that still cling to Windows XP as the familiar grounds where stability and functionality combine smoothly into one easy to use operating system. When Vista came, all it took to bring it down before even starting to rise were the driver incompatibility issues and a number of programs that could not run on anything else but XP. Its slick looks were the only ones impressing the audience, but even this was viewed as unoriginal.
The endpoint here is that very few users committed to replacing a reliable XP with the relatively unfamiliar turf of Vista, waiting for all the loose ends to be tied up in Windows 7, which, as the voices of the experts claim, is a much better dish than Vista (I strongly concur).

With Bing slowly but steadily rising in popularity Google is facing more pressure than ever to rejuvenate the search experience it has to offer. Sure, they still hold a clearly dominant share of the market at about 64.6% (versus 19.3% for its closest rival, Yahoo), but then again Google has proven to know better than to just rest on its laurels.
Over the years, the Mountain View-based company has been enhancing its search engine not only to provide quality and relevant results, but also let users be more particular about their searches with dozens of special features and operators. Despite this, I am willing to bet that most people just use the vanilla search as is.

For most people, dropping a CD into their disc drive and clicking "Import" in iTunes is good enough. For music freaks, though, it's not—and with good reason. Here's how to digitize your tunes, the right way.
First off, some reasons to take this road: iTunes is a decent audio encoder, and it'll get your music from point A—the CD—to points B, C and D—your computer, your MP3 player and your backup drive—without much trouble. But it'll do it with a less-than-great encoder, with occasionally inconsistent tagging, with album art that'll only work on Apple devices, and without support for the best lossless audio formats and MP3 encoding options, which you probably want, whether you know it or not.

Find Software Updates for your Windows PC Automatically
You probably use Microsoft Windows Update to download security updates and patches for your Windows PC but there are reasons why this Microsoft service may not be enough.
1.If you have multiple computers, you need to download the same updates separately on each of them - this is fine for broadband users who don’t have to pay per byte but could be an issue for metered connections.
2. Not every computer at your home may be connected to the Internet - you therefore need an offline setup to update such machines.
3. The Microsoft update service will help you find patches for Windows and other Microsoft-only software (e.g. Microsoft Office) but you need something else for the zillion other software programs and hardware drivers on your computer.

The zip file format offers much in terms of data storage and network transfer, but its potential weakness, however, lies in the fragility of the file structure. If for any reason some part of a zip file becomes damaged, standard zip tools will be unable to extract it.
Zip Repair Tool provides the user with a cutting edge technology that helps repair zip structure and extract zipped files. Full automation of the zip repair process and a user-friendly interface make zip repair a snap. After the user locates zip files, the program scans each file to assess the damage - then Zip Repair Tool deploys its robust engine to recover zip files wherever possible. High speed and accuracy are the distinguishing features of the technology. The zip repair engine can fix zip files of any size and number.
The first version of Firefox was released in 2004 and since then, some 230 million people world-wide (or 20% of the 1.2 billion strong Internet population) are using Firefox as their primary web browser.
The next graph illustrates the Firefox development process at Mozilla. A core set of 400 developers are responsible for the code that runs Firefox while the rest is a community driven effort. For instance, there are around five hundred people, outside the core developers, who localize Firefox into over 60 languages.

It also cleans traces of your online activities such as your Internet history. Additionally it contains a fully featured registry cleaner. Disk Partition Alignment Best Practices for SQL Server
Disk partition alignment is a powerful tool for improving SQL Server performance. Configuring optimal disk performance is often viewed as much art as science. A best practice that is essential yet often overlooked is disk partition alignment. Windows Server 2008 attempts to align new partitions out-of-the-box, yet disk partition alignment remains a relevant technology for partitions created on prior versions of Windows.
This paper documents performance for aligned and nonaligned storage and why nonaligned partitions can negatively impact I/O performance; it explains disk partition alignment for storage configured on Windows Server 2003, including analysis, diagnosis, and remediation; and it describes how Windows Server 2008 attempts to remedy challenges related to partition alignment for new partitions yet does not correct the configuration of preexisting partitions.

Get Alerts When Your Website Hits the First Page of Google
If your web pages do not appear on the first page of Google, your presence is almost invisible on the Internet because most users are too lazy to scroll beyond the front pages.
While there are enough good websites telling you how to improve search rankings, Exact Factor is a tool that helps you monitor these rankings via email alerts.
You supply the address of your website and the search keywords that you are looking to rank for - Exact factor will send an email alert when pages from your site hit the front page of Google, Yahoo or Windows Live Search.
You may either select the default .com (like google.com) for determining search rankings or choose country specific domains (like google.co.in) for sort-of local search.
There’s more. You can type the address of a competing website and track if that site ever manages to beat your position in search engines. The service is free with a limit of 50 keywords per site.

Monitor your Internet Speed and Bandwidth Usage in Real-Time with BitMeter
You got a broadband connection at home with a data transfer limit and the ISP charges extra money for every byte of data that you download / upload beyond the limit specified in the monthly plan.
If you can connect with the above situation, what you definitely need is BitMeter for keeping a track of your internet bandwidth usage.
In fact, Bitmeter is more than just a bandwidth usage meter. You can create custom desktop alerts (see screenshot) to know when your internet connection goes offline or if the net speed drops beyond a certain level.
