There have been lots of rumors in the past few months that Google plans to release a tablet under its own name. An official announcement about the device was expected to be made in May but now The Verge reports, via unnamed sources, that those plans have now changed and we won't be hearing anything official about the Google tablet until sometime in July.
The story claims that the decision to delay the tablet's launch was due in part to make some design changes for the product and also to hopefully lower the price of the device. While the tablet was said to be targeting a $249 or a $19 price point, a more recent rumor claims that it could go down as low as $149.
